Old settings are sometimes traded-in for a new one with the new stone addition(s)... you may or may not get you original setting back- mfr's. decision. Black Hills Gold Mothers Jewelry

This is a delightful collection of Black Hills Gold mothers jewelry- crafted in 10k yellow gold. The 12k rose/green accent leaves add a pretty accent to these designs. Genuine stones have nice color and rubies and emeralds are also nice.

Pluses: Unique designs in 10k gold which also keep prices a bit lower. Multi-color gold with pink/green accents give these items a very nice feminine touch. Most pendants include a free gold-FILLED pendant chain.
Minuses: Not offered in 14k gold or white gold (only a minus if you prefer 14k or white gold).

The Legend...

According to legend, during the "gold rush days" of mid 1870s, goldsmith Henri LeBeau became lost in the Black Hills of South Dakota and fell asleep believing he was dying of thirst and starvation. During the dream, he saw a mountain stream with grapevines growing on its banks.

Upon awakening, he walked over a rise and found the stream and grapevines just as he had in his dream. Out of gratitude, he dedicated his life and talents to creating jewelry in the shapes of grape clusters and leaves fashioned in rose, green and yellow gold.

Today, a series of up to 40 steps are necessary to capture the same dramatic detail in these traditional and contemporary Black Hills Gold designs.

NOTE: By Federal mandate, Black Hills Gold must be manufactured in the Black Hills of South Dakota in order to carry the name Black Hills Gold Jewelry. It is the design of this lovely jewelry that gives it its name. These designs are produced in 10k yellow gold. 12k gold pink accents are created by combining gold and copper alloys and 12k green gold is created by combining gold, silver and copper.
